Learning the ropes!

I heard the calves long before I saw them. I was walking Holly through the Pollok vegetable garden and spotted five calves in the wee paddock just beside the old courtyard.

There is a calf show in Stirling on Saturday and the Pollok staff are showing five youngsters. First of all they have to learn to be led by a rope and that means having a nose ring fitted.

Alastair, the black calf, and Susan both need to have a bath, hair wash and a very good brushing ..... they need to look their best.
