“In the Throne Room …

… of the Mountain Gods”  is the title of a book by Galen Rowel, written in 1977, which I still love. Some days it feels like that on the mountains especially with good friends (we are all ladies of a certain age) appreciating the stunning clarity of the views. This view looking towards Mt. Dolent always takes your breath away when you get up to the ridge to the Tour de Bavon. Then you have the huge bulk of the Grand Combin in front of you as you scramble up to the summit (extras). A great day out not seeing another soul, until we got near home at around 17:30 and hit the evening traffic!
