Purple Finch

I think this would be more accurately name "raspberry finch" but someone thought purple made sense.  They look to me as if they've been dipped in cranberry or raspberry juice - definitely an eye catching color.  The female, by comparison, is rather drab - have a look in Extra for her.

I had a nice long FT chat with my parents this morning.  They are both looking well and, like me, anxious for this election to be resolved and done.  After a quick lunch with Hubs, I ran into town for some groceries and am not situated on the deck with Jax, getting ready for what I hope will be the final edits on the Dog Rally pictures from Sunday.  I think Hubs and I will probably watch some of the early election returns tonight after dinner although there certainly won't be a winner declared by the time we go to bed tonight.  Or perhaps not tomorrow either.  

This election has been very stressful for many people, me included.  My anxiety level is definitely high although I am trying to prepare myself for any outcome.  Sadly, there is no outcome that won't leave a lot of people feeling     angry.
