Fireworks in the Garden

It's hard to believe it is November when I walk in the garden,  A fuschia hedge we have is still full of flowers, a rose has just bloomed again and this delicate white flower is not something I'd expect to find.  I just love how it stands out against the dark purple foliage.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Quincy Jones at the weekend.  A truly iconic musician, composer, producer, etc.  The number of tributes from famous people is testament to the impact he had on not only the music industry, but film and the wider American (and world) societies. It's only in more recent years that I have come to appreciate the breadth of his influence.

I remember being introduced to his album, The Dude, in the early 1980s and of course his influence on Michael Jackson's early years as a solo artist.  He lived life to the fullest and if you ever get the chance to watch the Netflix documentary, Quincy, from 2018, you can truly appreciate his work and life.  The BBC are currently streaming the Prom of his music for the next month, in recognition of his passing.
