Small Yet Significant

Some tiny batteries (cells really) last years in watches, car fobs or remote controls. Yet even the small ones come in many very similar sizes and can only be bought in packs of 6 or more.

This was the result of a quick rummage in a drawer and because I want to pass them on for someone to use the spare ones I wondered how many like this are discarded.

First result of a search (Devon County Council) quoted a uk figure of 3,000 batteries discarded PER MINUTE.

So they may be cheap to buy, only viable to sell in sixes and convenient for a plethora of small gadgets, but insignificant they certainly aren't!
