Bookclub

Another full day.
A trip into town this morning. This afternoon I had a meeting of the Camberley Bookclub. We hadn’t met for 3 months due to other members being on holiday. They like their holidays! We read The Women by Kristin Hannah. A story of women involved in the war in Vietnam. A long book, but interesting. The women were totally unrecognised for the roles they played in this war. They didn’t get any assistance for dealing with the traumas of war and their contribution and no female casualties appeared on war memorials. The men are mostly awful.
We had a firework display in the evening, featured in the extras.
