Stash of stitching books
It seems no time since we were devastated to find Bill wasn’t going to be First Lady. I have no words to say how upset and depressed we woke this morning to the news that USA has elected someone so unfit to be President - and for the second time.
While I’m not one to bury my head in the sand, I haven’t turned on any news today. I know it has happened and I can do nothing about it.
A U3A group of knitters and stitchers met at Sue’s house for our monthly meeting. I took my coat and got most of the band done. I was a couple of stitches short of the 505 required but that won’t matter. Tonight I’ll finish it. I’m glad I wove in all the ends as I went.
At the group we talked about different crafts (It was very relaxing as nobody mentioned the election) and Sue showed us her craft/ textile/stitching books which are my blip. She has books of creative darning so next time I’ll take my M&S cashmere cardigan which wore through on the elbows to see if it’s fixable. It’ll make a nice change from knitting!
Carole and David arrive on the bus tomorrow evening so I’ll cook in the morning as I have Art Appreciation in the afternoon.
