Glow in the dark mini golf!
Sunday
The main reason for us coming up to Wisconsin this weekend, was to attend Laura’s choir concert this afternoon. When she left her job in Wausau earlier this year, she was very sad to be leaving her choir behind, which she had been part of for almost a couple of years. However, over the summer, she was very happy to discover another choir in Oshkosh, the town where her work is based. The concert was at 4pm, and Liam’s parents were coming too - they live in Madison.
It was a grey wet day, so we went out for breakfast, then went to play indoor Glow in the dark mini golf, which was fun, despite my pathetic score! It was years since I’d played mini golf, and I never was very goood at it! Then it was time to drop Laura off at the church where they were performing - they needed to get chairs and stands set up for the musicians, as well as practice. Roger and Liam and I found a coffee shop to pass some time, then returned to the church and waited in the car until Liam’s parents arrived. The concert was good - Faure’s Requiem and his Cantique de Jean Racine, and a piece by Mendelssohn I wasn’t familiar with. After the concert, we went out to eat with Liam’s parents, so got to know them a bit more.
