Beauty and the Blob
A friend gave me these beautiful 'batb melts' a few years ago. They were so lovely to look at that I did not want to dissolve them straight away, so I put them in a drawer and forgot about them. The other day I rediscovered them, and gave one a try, using them as soap instead of bath flowers.
What can I say? From precious blossom to used scouring pad in under two minutes ! I don't think I'm ready yet to start sharing my bath with a giant, sticky slug. Appearances can be misleading.
I went to a community event today. Took away some leftover sandwiches to give to homeless people/street drinkers, but I could only find one. Tried to give some to work gangs, but they'd all eaten. In the end I went to Marsh, Stroud's version of a soup kitchen, and they accepted them. Went home, carried on working.
Later had to go out to a PPG (patient participation group) with a colleague. We were the guest speakers. I've not done that kind of talk before in a formal setting, and it worked well. The surgeries I work at don't have PPGs yet.
The headache didn't start till 6pm today. It got worse after I attempted to change a light bulb in the dark. I took paracetamol because of the meeting. Blood pressure readings were in the 130s this morning.
