Retrofit

I am told (by a WCC colleague) that this collage shows a process to make arched aluminium frames to hang blind fabric from - in order to protect the newly conserved painting and organ against sun damage.

It was a good day. I spent the morning cleaning up and prepping food for lunch for some of my oldest friends - Kath, Tony and Linda who i must have known for over 40 years. We had home made tomato soup (tomatoes from the greenhouse), then a chicken in the bag with lots of roasted veg. Kath bought a medley of berries and some baby meringues which astoundingly have only 17 calories each! A result! Plus a spoonful of slated caramel ice cream, which had rather more! It was lovely to catch up. Really lovely.

after they had left I spent some time clearing up and then popped to pick up Layla from Bruce's Doggy Day care.
