Caught a morning train to Somerset to meet Pose and see her parents’ new place. It’s super lovely, I’m so happy for them. They’re actually living the dream, a beautiful house in the countryside with a couple of lovely little Airbnb outhouses to keep them busy.
I got the tour, then we headed out to Watchet. The art centre on the harbour is very cool - the town felt so so quiet but the gallery and especially the cafe were absolutely buzzing. Pose watched the lady making paper and decided that’s going to be her new career.

We made the most of being by the sea to have some chips and then an ice cream (very generous scoops, definitely more than we both needed). Back to the house for a cuppa and couple of games of backgammon in front of the log burner, then we went out - first for a drink at the brewery (the guy that worked there was Bill’s clone), then for some food in a nearby village (slightly bizarre experience).

Back for a soak and bottle of Prosecco in the hot tub.
