Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

memento mori

I remember being so excited when this library first opened in 1966, but sadly I have outlived it! It has fallen victim to the dread RAAC. The community holds it in great affection though and the news has recently come through that it is beyond saving and is to be demolished.
It is, or was, home to a local Knit and Natter group who are responsible for these beautiful poppies. There's another in the extras.
Today was busy, first to church and our All Souls service. From there I did my regular check on the Rectory.
I just had time to nip hone for a quick lunch then it was time for my charity shop stint.
This afternoon we headed off to the Gyle for our flu and COVID vaccines. I had both in the same arm while Colin at the next vaccine desk was told one in each arm! My left arm is already uncomfortable so I reckoned adding the vaccines into the mix wouldn't make things any worse. We'll soon find out , all's well so far.
