Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

as good as it gets

Ali and I went out with Bonnie this morning intending to raid the charity shops in Stockbridge. After one shop though we gave up and went to Two Children and had bacon rolls instead
We walked via Inverleith Pond and this, I'm afraid is the best I can offer by way of images today. In case you don't spot it, it's a female moorhen!
I got a welcome phone call to say my car had passed its MOT so Ali kindly drove me to pick it up.
After that the day staggered towards its end. I came home and called the Rectory power supplier as the SMART meter seems to have stopped sending readings. They were very helpful and managed to get a reading but the system needs investigation as to why it has stopped working.
After that I gave up and slept for almost three hours, my body clock seems out of sync at the moment. Fortunately Colin was more alert and did the various picking ups of children as their mum was on a course at Forth Valley Hospital and Dad was on duty. Not nice having a policeman in the family when silly and dangerous things are happening with fireworks. His shift finishes soon though which will be a relief for all.
After I woke up I made the family Chicken Casserole, so it's now ready for distribution tomorrow.
Hopefully my photographs will be of more interest tomorrow too. We are off to the Gyle for our COVID and Flu vaccines.
