MAC pastel portraits

Bianca's class this morning was good. Pen and wash. I chose to do a kitten and learned about the position of its facial features. Good fun. I will attempt the fox for homework, on watercolour paper.

It was Paul's birthday so 5 of us joined him in the Continental cafe for coffee and cake. He didn't have much else planned as he lives a 'quiet life' (as he put it) with his mum and was delighted that we joined him.  The cake was very indulgent!

This evening I went to MAC where we had a professional artist workshop on portraits with pastels. I attempted to do Shelagh for half an hour and then we swapped over. My blip is their attempts at doing me. In only half an hour they have captured elements of my likeness.  It is surprising how quickly half an hour passes when concentrating on the portrait.
