Peach beaches
Although I have been visiting the Northumbrian coast my whole life, until this week I had never noticed the almost peach colour of the sand. This can be seen in my blip of the beach beneath Dunstanburgh Castle, not far from Craster.
We made three outings today: (1) for a circular walk from Craster, taking in a small wood, farmland, sand dunes, the beach, and Dunstanburgh Castle (and with the lovely smell of the village smokehouse in the air); (2) for a run from the inn in Alnmouth; (3) for dinner at The Ship in Low Newton (duck for me, steak for Mr hazelh, chocolate mousse shared for pudding).
Back at the inn I started reading Cuddy and love it already, and beat Mr hazelh at Scrabble again.
We will be moving onto Part II of our holiday tomorrow. This includes a wee blipmeet near Hexham.
Exercise today: 45 minute interval training run; walking (24,719 steps, including run).
