Changed my photo to this one of geese flying as I did the Lula walk alone - like the feeling of it. And a quote from Tolkein, which honours Capon. I read the quote I liked best in ch 10, "And She Took Flour..." about making noodles and strudel, aloud to Mike, but it's too long to quote here - you'll have to get the book.


Mike's knee is improving, and he slept well last night, but it's a dickens of a job getting him to keep the weight off it. By the way, for Americans against universal healthcare (or the Brits who pay nothing), for an x-ray, an anti-inflammatory injection, and a thorough examination by a doctor, we paid 14 euros last night.
