Diary of an Edinburgher

Holidays! Day 6

Goodbye Hong Kong! What a fabulous city.

So the cold is taking hold now - coughing fits, streaming eyes (and nose), head-achey… GRRREAT!

We checked out of our room and wandered over to the Mall. We just missed the opening of a new LV shop - people in dragon costumes, and everyone else in BLACK. But some of the sights of young ladies walking by were something else.

A very smooth embarkation - a nice Aussie lass was pleased to welcome on board a Kiwi. We had lunch out on the deck, in the shade, looking out on the city, while all the bags were delivered to the rooms.

In the evening I’d booked one of the top restaurants, and it was very special. The most wonderful Asian food - soft shelled crab, lobster, duck, steak, with lovely vegetables.AND a tapioca pudding! Heaven.

We got chatting to the couple next to us, she is from Shetland (my sis-in-law is a Shetlander).

It’s 7am and I’m sitting out on the balcony, in my jammies, it’s the perfect temperature - JR is still snoozing - so no sign yet of her aim of striding out around the deck many times before breakfast. Maybe not on Day 1…
