Frightday Night Pizza
A day out of the office invariably means one thing: loads more to do the following day.
Fortunately, I slept the sleep of the damned last night and woke refreshed and ready for action, so blitzed my way through a myriad of emails and reassuring phone calls.
I rewarded my efforts with a lunchtime wander into town - happening upon a passing patch of blue sky poking through the gathering grey (aka. anticyclonic gloom) - some supplies from M&S (it is the weekend) and your friend and mine: the regular 45% hot chocolate from Kakaw.
It has been a strange old week what with the re-emergence of the Fanta Fascist an’ all, but the earth still seems to be turning. They say that there is nothing new under the sun, but when the sun takes an extended leave of absence, does that mean that all bets are off?!
Luckily for all of us dealing with writing or reading the tenuous existential angst of the previous sentence, my family arrived for Friday night pizzas whereupon our thoughts and conversation turned to other, more important things, such as devouring a cheesecake.
Happy weekend all!
P.S. Oh, the image is of a little ghost, which was lovingly made by my mum for Halloween and pinched by me, because I thought it was very cute.
