..endeavour to persevere

High Snockrigg

Snockrigg, Nose-Ridge as far as I can work out.

I needed something not too arduous after efforts on Armboth Fell this week.  We went from Newlands Hause which cuts the hike down to about 2 miles and ascent down to about 800 feet.
The weather forecast indicated we should get some sun, the 360 views from the summit down to Buttermere & Crummock, over to Fleetwith Pike and up to Robinson are excellent, especially if you have some good light and visibility.. which we didn't.
Undaunted,  it was still a great day, another Birkett knocked off (354/541 bagged).

The views in the clag were not the best from the summit,  so my blip is of Drab Bonnets on the boggy plateau.  When you take a macro view of a bog, there are amazing textures, colour and variation not apparent from our usual lofty viewpoints. The mushrooms are about 4cm tall for scale.
Extra is the opposite to a macro - the landscape on the way up looking back down to the car at Newlands Hause. Newlands Pass snaking around Knott Rigg opposite
