REPAIRING THE PROM

I slept well last night.  I don't think that cygnet's distress will ever leave me but I'm now accepting that I did everything that I could, I hope!!!

Anyway went into town this morning to do our usual Saturday morning chores, have a spot of brunch and a chat with a few people we meet on the way.

I saw these guys repairing the areas along the prom that form puddles on wet days because when they ice over they are dangerous.  They seem to be doing a sterling job to me, but others tell me that the work has not always been so great.  I'm not expert so I don't know, I just see them working hard with what they've been given.

This grey gloom continues.  We did at least see a few hours of blue sky yesterday afternoon, but no sign of it today so far.  Looking at the forecast we could have a few bright days next week - fingers crossed.  Even I'm fed up wth the grey gloom - it just doesn't cheer you up at all does !!??
