New for Me

..haha..I can't believe I am reading SF....but this book, so far, is really fun. Not often while reading my usual choice of genres, do I chuckle and chortle; but I do with this one! I have willingly suspended my disbelief and am having fun. How could I not, in a story where cats are spies and can type?

Another new thing. I now have an Apple Watch - for the first time - so I am a novice at Apple watches. The reason for having one is that it has this very good  "I have fallen and I can't get up" feature, and that beats wearing a gadget around my neck!

My daughter picked the watch up for me and my niece-in law helped set it up. It seems she entered some "goals" for me as every now and then, this watch tells me to "Standup and move for 1 minute" and later in the day, congratulates me on reaching my "Standing" goal? And just now it told me that I had not made a lot of progress on my "Move" goal yesterday and I should try harder today to close the ring? Say what?  Talk about SF! It knows when I am lounging on the sofa? Not moving? What else does it know, and does Maggie have anything to do with this? Is she a cat spy monitoring me and reporting to Apple?

Also new to me is the feeling that I have more energy these days.. I have actually been weeding-out book and table linen collections. I have made a deal with my PSW that if I fill a box for donation, she will carry it to the car.  And when I actually get to drive the boxes to the Salvation Army, they will carry it out of the car for me... I am trying hard to stick to my recovery weight- lifting restrictions..Too bad Apple watch doesn't have that as a goal? Like "Congratulations, today you did not lift anything over 5 pounds!"  Can't have everything I guess....
