Back Blip - The Outrun at RBC Film Theatre
A day in bed resting today after a night out watching The Outrun at the Robert Burns Film Theatre in Dumfries (RBC).
In agony after a very busy week, have pushed myself too much this week but at least it’s been productive and I was keen to go to see the film as I have been looking forward to it for some time.
A wonderful adaptation of Amy Liptrot’s memoir which I read a couple of years ago (see extras). Highly recommend both the book and film.
Met up with one of my best friends afterwards and then spent the rest of the evening with Ben (extra). He is camera shy and far too hard on himself, a fellow perfectionist! I think he takes a good photo.
He very kindly took me home despite living on the other side of town. A very intelligent man, great company, great sense of humour. He writes wonderful poetry and beatboxes. I will share some of his YouTube videos of his performance poetry.
Needed to use one of my Fischer walking sticks, I no longer hate mobility aids but see them as supporting my desire for personal independence and and avoiding potential falls.
I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend so far. Main photo is of the Whitesands, Dumfries last night :)
