Spindle Berries

I had to do a good few hours work this morning. Not ideal, and not how I wanted to spend my non-working day, but needs must. By late morning I had had enough so went out for a walk, with the intention of then going for a run. I went for a longer walk than planned, and by the time I got home I was starving. I had a late lunch, and the run didn’t happen.

I did a few chores, then popped out to the supermarket. It was dark by the time Igot home, and felt like my day had just disappeared.

TT was home later than usual because he missed the bus. Tea was easy though, fish finger sandwiches, chips and salad. We both enjoyed it. BB appeared home around 9pm. He didn’t need fed, but came in and demanded that we watch the rugby. We saw the second half of Ireland v NZ.

This caught my eye in Amisfield Walked Garden, on a very grey day. A bit of Googling leads me to believe that it is Euonymus europaeus, also known as the spindle tree. These are the bright pink fruits with orange seeds.
