The Oxford Bar
Another grey day. I started my day with a walk. It was very quiet and still, and I went a little further than I had planned. Once back home, I hung out some washing, though it may take days to dry! I then headed out for a run. I’ve been feeling a bit si yay the past few days, and I really felt it when I was running, but I kept going and did my usual six mile route.
I then had quite a quick turnaround as TT and I were meeting friends in Edinburgh for lunch. BB headed off to rugby, and we caught the bus.
We met up in Bon Vivant in Thistle Street, where we all very much enjoyed our lunch. We’ve not seen L and A for about a year, so there was lots of news to catch up on.
We then headed to the Oxford Bar for a drink, but it was very busy, so we left after one drink and went to The Guildford for another drink. It was packed when we went in, but emptied fairly quickly and we got a seat. We then said our farewells, and headed for our respective buses home, having promised to meet up in the new year.
BB appeared home not long after us. His team won today, but no tries for him today. He wasn’t too unhappy though, as he had set up a couple of tries.
This is the barred window in the Oxford Bar, the favourite hostelry of Inspector Rebus.
