Remembrance Day Poppy

Out on my walk today I found a few red poppies growing on the headland edge of a field - the crop has long since gone! This particular flower was the best one - in almost perfect condition…some scraggy ones in the extra today.

Don’t be fooled by the ‘sunlight’ - there wasn’t any this morning - it is just my little LED panel illuminating the flower.

On my way back though the village, I arrived at the war memorial just as the ‘Act Of Remembrance’ was about to begin - a crowd of about 200 were there - so I stayed. It was only about 10 minutes, with a bugler playing The Last Post.

The poppy seemed an appropriate blip for today.
