Above the fog
After a one and a half hours hike, we reached the sun and enjoyed this beautiful view.
On the way down we discovered the «Brocken spectre» in the extra. The phenomenon can appear on any misty mountainside and is the magnified shadow of the observer opposite the sun. It’s named after the highest peak of the «Harz Mountains» in Germany because its frequent fogs and low-altitude accessibility. The Brocken spectre was observed and described in 1780 and has often been recorded in literature. It also could have a name from the mountains in our region.
