One day at a time

Falkirk

On our last day of holiday in the Glasgow area before heading towards home with a fee more nights in Melrose we decided to go to Callendar House near Falkirk and Stenhousemuir. This is the house. I loved the light on the tree. But the little silver birch took my interest. There is a plaque under it which says:
'This tree has been planted in memory of those lost to addiction. It doesn't have to be this way.'
This is a beautiful place, frequented by many local people with their children and dogs.
The extras are of the area including a splendid pipe band in Bonnybridge for their Remembrance Sunday parade and service. The Catholic Church frontage is very 1960s and interesting. And there is a view of the Antonine Wall, the first time I had seen it. We are very familiar with Hadrian's Wall which is local to us in Northumberland.
