getting into the swing of things
...as far as using my "real" camera again! It's a lot just to figure out how to use it, how to get photos OUT of it, how to shoot photos with a long zoom... I forgot how hard it is to hold the camera steady! I am simply taking photos with auto aperture and shutter speed, as I would need to take a course or read a book, to do anything different than that. But it's fun to use my Lumix again and I'm enjoying it. I think the quality of the photos will be better and/or I'll be able to capture things I can't with my Pixel 7 Pro. Of course I will still use it because it's so easy, but now I have a choice, wheeeee!
This photo is of Steve in Robinson Nature Preserve, which is near my mom's home. After visiting with her, we generally went to De Soto to walk, but that is not an option right now. After De Soto had quite a bit of damage from 2 hurricanes in October it is now temporarily closed. Robinson is huge, almost 700 acres so there are more choices for walking. Today we did a different route that I liked very much, and we walked about 2 miles.
Check the extra photo for a 215 mm zoom (if that makes any sense) photo of some white pelicans. They were quite far away from where I was standing. I tried taking a photo of them last week with my Pixel phone and the results were not very good. This photo I took today is not awesome, but at least you can see what they look like! I think white pelicans are so different and also beautiful.
