Another year.
Another thought of A. S. G. Another "Wonder how Poppy is?"

We were lucky. I expect to be filled in by Derwent Lass - BUT - There were four Brothers + a 1/2 Brother, John.
I don't know about John & can no longer ask Alma. (R I P lass) but of the four:
Dad - eldest I think, was in "A reserved occupation is an occupation considered important enough to a country that those serving in such occupations are exempt or forbidden from military service." He was a time-served Wheelwright but was exempt War Service as a needed "Motor coach Body-builder"
Charlie youngest was in the Air force and returned.
The middle two, Tom & Ernie, I never knew what they did, but they survived
WW ll
And, of course, my annual play of this.

Late News.
I can't remember if I read it OR heard it on Radio - BUT - I learned just after publishing that:-
If all the Men being commemorated "today" (Retrospective add) lined up to march past three abreast; the first three would be passing the Cenotaph while the last three were waiting for the start - in EDINBURGH.
Wrap your head round THAT?
