Remembrance Day

The day before the ceremonies. It was sunny today and rain in the forecast for tomorrow so I stopped to take some photos today. These same poppies were featured in an earlier blip. They are used for the concert at The Sanctuary, then they are moved to Sullivan's Pond for the Remembrance Day ceremony.

Alan and I had talked about surprising the brunch group members one Sunday by paying for brunch for everyone. We talked about it before he went in the hospital and had decided we would do it at Colleen's. It was booked for today, but Alan is still not well enough to attend brunch. He dropped the bank card off to me on Thursday afternoon and he did not look well then. I waited till after everyone had ordered to tell them that the cost is being covered by the group.

Peaches was on mouse patrol tonight. I found her on the kitchen stove, standing up sniffing around the exhaust fan(which does not work). Only 11 more days and I am out of here. Four more days till I get the key. I heard from the property manager today and we are going to meet on Thursday afternoon to sign the lease and he will give me a copy that day, and give me the keys.
