curns' corner

After the morning meetings, I shopped for the ingredients for a Thai green curry. I wanted to get a big pot going in the slow cooker so that we could have some for later in the week. PY stayed at the office a bit later than usual to help people find the location of a dinner event where he was not eating. So the curry had even longer to cook. After eight hours, the chicken was lovely and tender, but I'd increased the recipe to handle more chicken thighs and hadn't sufficiently increased the spice content. Nice, but it could have been better.

In admin, I booked a train ticket to Shrewsbury to see Mum and Dad, which cost more than I expected. And I booked a date for the boiler to be serviced. There was only one available date between now and Christmas, and 19th December was too close to the festivities for me to commit to being home.

While waiting for PY to return, I set off on an evening walk. I am not sure what made me go under the railway bridge, but it was a nice walk, although evenings are getting colder. Recently, some work has been done on this bridge, and there are now enormous ANPR signs at either entrance. Do vehicles keep hitting it?
