Toilet door done...

...with adaptations.
The near 50 year old mechanism was partially knackered, but the locking latch was still working. So blocked in and epoxy resined over the main latch. Then the locking latch wouldn't go back in after I had painted around it.
After getting annoyed, as it would mean butchering the door, my wife suggested hitting the end of the latch with a hammer.
Lo and behold it worked and I could insert then turn the old knob to expose and withdraw the latch.
So new knob bought with two barn door type handles, plus a door magnet. All from Amazon. The magnet is strong enough to make the inside of the door stick to the metal door frame, to keep it closed.
It all works so that is the main thing. No new door or mechanism needed (although the latter is probably obsolete now).

One lesson today. My student texted me earlier as she wanted to come earlier than 6.30pm. My 5pm student is absent (French bank holiday today), so I offered her that slot.

So will have to go and get ready in a bit.

Tuesday and Wednesday are usually easier days, before getting back to lesson planning again on Thursday...
