A Duck House Sun, Fairseat
At last, at last the sun reappeared today which meant that, for the most part, it was a glorious late autumn day. Our morning run was cold but so much more uplifting than during the past few days of utter greyness.
As the weather was so good we headed out for a drive and, of course, a drink at one of the pubs on our regular roster, The George Inn at Trottiscliffe. As it was such a nice day we decided to meander further in to the countryside by going down the backroads to Fairseat and that's where I took today's images. As we drove past this duck pond I just had to ask my brother to stop so that I could take some images - the light was so perfect on the duck house (which has quite the tilt to it), it was almost as if it was glowing from within! I took two versions and loved the contrast between shooting it in colour and black and white so I've included both. We then moved on to Stansted (NOT the airport one - although quite a few people have been sent there by their satnav mistaking it for the aviation based arrival and embarkation point) so that my brother could get his picture for the day. Soon enough it was time to head home but it was such a perfect day to be out and about.
