George Street
The sky was more spectacular than the Christmas lights in Edinburgh this evening.
Mr P was volunteering for Tweed Wheels this morning so I decided to walk up to the Hydro for a gym session and a swim. As I’ve not been particularly active for the last 7 weeks, I did somewhat struggle. I went for some local shopping after my session, thinking I could get a lift home from Mr P, but turns out he was delayed at BGH waiting for an out patient. So I had to drag my shopping up the hill and then after a very quick bite to eat, race back to the High Street to catch the bus into Edinburgh. Needless to say I was very relieved to have a rest on the bus.
I met my friend Anne at the St James Centre and we had food in the Bonnie and Wild Foodhall. I was outraged that our glass of wine cost more than our plate of food. I’m used to paying about 2 euros for a glass of decent plonk!
We went to see Paddington in Peru at the Everyman Cinema (Anne’s treat). I enjoyed it but it’s not a patch on Paddington 2.
I’m on the last bus back to Peebles now. Mr P is hopefully picking me up. I’m struggling to keep my eyes open.
