Veteran's Day

Sorry to pre-empt Mono Monday, but there are days that a mono just doesn't work for me or my favorite veteran and husband of 40 years and Veteran's Day just happens to be one of those days.  I have put my nod to Mono Monday in the extras.  My husband explained to me that he always wore a dog tag on his combat boots (he also had a set around his neck, of course) because someone told him if he got into a mine field, that the dog tag on his combat boot might be the only way to identify his remains or the only thing to be returned to his family.  We are grateful that we never had to test that bit of advice!  To all who have served and those still serving, I thank you for your service to our country on this and every Veteran's Day.....Thanks to Jensphotos for hosting.....
