This Is A Potato

Into town to see the Magritte exhibition at the AGNSW. On the way to a celebratory lunch afterwards we passed the memorial to the Great Irish Famine at Hyde Park Barracks. The names of young Irish women and girls who emigrated are inscribed on glass set into the perimeter wall. Some books and a sewing basket they brought with them and left behind have been placed on ledges. And potatoes.
