St Giles Chimes 7am

The air temperature at 6:45am as I started my walk to the bus was 2° while the water temperature at the beach  was 9° - warmer to submerge in the waves than stand about  wearing very little . It did feel much colder than of late but not so bad that any shivering rocked the bus on my return journey. The hot shower when I eventually made it home felt like I had died and gone to heaven.

It has been a cold day but the sunshine since early morning has been a mitigating factor on the chill although not enough of a mitigation to stop me wishing it were  time for the Central heating to kick in . I’ve just had a peep at next week’s forecast  and the temperatures start off in the negative and rise to a hot 3°. Our time of sitting under the jet stream is over and the real November weather will soon be a reality.
