Hello, Robert

Mr Downy Woodpecker, aka Robert Downy, swooped in for a few bites of suet. It’s remarkably cooler today with biting howling winds. Three suet choices, fresh water, seeds and nuts; hopefully something for everyone. I also split a pumpkin open for the dear deer and squirrels to nibble on • Speaking of dear deer, November is hunting season in Maine. It’s been quiet so far today but we can hear guns going off in the distant woods. Each one is like a kick in the stomach. I imagine how frightened they are running for their lives. We haven’t seen any for more than a week. Fingers crossed “ours” will remain safe and survive these next three weeks • Another week is underway. Make yours a good one! • Peace & Love
