Poulgorm

Sometimes the unplanned days are often the best. Stunned by a golden orb in the sky and wall to wall blueness, we abandoned everything and headed out to the woods in Glengarriff. Everywhere was looking ravishing - the beech and oak leaves turning colour, the water cold and crisp and the reflections sublime.. In a mad fit of enthusiasm we did the pretty stiff clamber up to Lady Bantry's Lookout - I do not for a moment believe her ladyship hoicked her skirts up and strode up here - maybe a sedan chair was summoned. Anyway, it's pretty aerobic but today the views were fabulous.
We came back into the village and ate our lunch al fresco - very good cheese toasties and strong coffee Still enthused we then went around Poulgorm, the Blue Pool  -a new coastal walkway having been made since we last came and it was glorious.
And thank you for the love for  yesterday's blip - that was unexpected!
