Good News All Round

Three trains to get me from Largs to Markinch but all the connections worked fine and I arrived in Markinch by 12.30 and was picked up from the station by my brother busboy and his partner Debbie - see the extra of their cheery faces, snapped in the train station. I’m here to stay for a couple of nights. Lovely to see them again and to be in Fife! A nice welcome of flowers, chocolates and a hot water bottle in my wee bedroom.

Busboy and I had a pie for lunch and then went for a walk in his barrio. It’s amazing that just a few minutes’ walk from his front door and it feels like you’re in the countryside (main blip).

Coffees and catching up in the afternoon and we decided where we’d go for dinner and D booked a table. However, by late afternoon, it had become clear that I’ve definitely caught Bb’s cold and was really stuffed up and sneezing. We cancelled the booking. We had fish and chips delivered instead. Right decision! I hope I feel a bit better tomorrow.

The BIG news of the day though, live from Largs, is that Barrioboy’s mum has been offered and accepted a place in Hutton Park care home, also in Largs. She seems happy with the idea and it will mean 24 hour care and company and more peace of mind for everyone. It was great that Bb was able to be there for the meeting this morning.
