Take the long way home...
I think D was feeling a little guilty that on Sunday Kevin blackmailed charmed me into making Empire biscuits for their annual Lake District weekend - "Diane, if some Empire Biscuits find their way into D's luggage at the weekend, it wouldn't be a bad thing..." lol! so took me out for lunch :-)
As it was such a lovely day we went a bit further afield to Uisge at Murthly. Had a lovely lunch. Only one chef on today so the menu was limited but we enjoyed their freshly made beef burger with salad and lovely crisp fries.
As the sun was shining and it was a perfect autumn day, we decided to drive the long way home, but we lingered so long over coffee and pistachio slice (for me) and a scone (for D) that we changed our route to the shorter long way home as otherwise it would have been dark half way home.
No dinner to cook (yay) and D off to his singing rehearsals so an evening of crochet and Bake-off. Such good bakers this year!
