Chewed
Friends, Chris and Mike, came for lunch. MrM cooked a full Sunday roast, while I made dessert and acted as his gofer.
It was the first time I'd made Chocolate Olive Oil Mousse (from Tim Spector and Zoe's Food for Life Cook Book), and I was a little uncertain about using aqua faba (aka the liquid from a tin of chick peas) and extra virgin olive in a dessert, but worries were unfounded. It was absolutely delicious, quick and easy to make, and quite healthy. I'll be making it again!
Nipped outside briefly just before lunch for a Blip of this 'Grouse' rose. One of the petals looks to have been chewed, but still beautiful. Strange that the only two roses in the garden still in flower - 'Grouse' and 'Pheasant' - are named after game birds!
