A Walk in the Park
A rather up and down day. The weather this morning was cold but bright, lovely in fact. Barbara and I took mum to a pacemaker check up at the hospital which went well although as the battery is near the end of it's life, we're booked for two monthly checks now rather than yearly. Afterwards, with mum already out of the house and in a wheelchair, Ruth joined us for a tour of Pinner Village gardens, the park behind the house. Much pleasure taken in the autumn colours, the fallen leaves and the blue sky sunshine. A cheeky guest photographer for the main blip taken by Ruth, an extra of mine.
Unfortunately, either side of all this, mum was sick again today. She was unsurprisingly tired this afternoon too and slept a lot. She did eat a small meal later with no ill effects so far but I will be ringing the GP in the morning to sort an urgent appointment for while I am here.
This evening Barbara, Ruth and I spent a happy couple of hours chatting and looking through some old family photos, really old, going back to Victorian times. B goes home tomorrow, we'll all miss her.
