Marjorie's ramblings

Jaw droppingly good!

It was my turn to be a steward at the Hexham and District Photographic Society annual exhibition today. Sue and I were on the afternoon shift from 1 - 5pm. It's amazing how quickly it passes when a steady trickle of people attend. It's particularly good if they want to talk about the photos.

The work of 44 photographers is represented and there is a wide range of images and processing techniques on show. In addition to the prints, there is an audiovisual show. Here are Marie and Tony (last seen in yesterday's blip in rather different circumstances). It was quite dark and I did not see their expressions until after I captured the image.

A good number of people under the age of 30 attended. Then there was a Canon fan from Newcastle Camera Club in Australia. He and I toured the exhibition in detail and it was interesting to hear his views.

Pauline and Ben came from Crook; Liz and Mum from Humshaugh; a few members dropped in to give their support. Lovely to see Lesley after her sojourn in South Africa's game reserves.

Thank you to all those who expressed concern at my foolhardy behaviour yesterday when I walked 12 miles. Arth is a bit sore today, but not bad considering. We will try to be more careful :-)
