Three days in a row?!
Decisions, decisions today.
This morning I walked through the beautiful North Wood on the Bellister Estate south of Haltwhistle. It's National Trust property. One section of narrow path has become badly eroded. We use it often in festivals and Wednesday walks, but it's also used a lot by local people. The NT did not have funding to sort it out, so Haltwhistle Walking Festival is paying for materials. Here are some of the volunteers who are doing the graft.
I'm hoping that the local paper will take this picture alongside a press release about the path AND about the launch of our Autumn Walking Festival. (Bookings open on August 7th.) I took a lot of images of the men at work, but the paper usually likes the set piece, so here it is.
Now the decision was whether to blip this, or the delightful Anna, aged 4, who came this afternoon with her Mum. We played inside for a while and then went outside for bubble blowing. I have some sweet shots of her blowing with great intensity.
The other bit of the decision was this: I've never had the same person in a blip 3 nights running, but Tony Miller has broken that record....... People who know Tony may have their own thoughts about this!
Off to Members' Night at the Photo Society exhibition with a plate of smoked salmon sandwiches in hand (yes with cream cheese and cucumber).
