St Andrews Church
I went out to Temple Grafton this afternoon to see our ex-next-door-neighbour who was having problems with her internet connection. Wireless was fine on the children's laptops, but her computer, which does not have wireless, could not get the LAN recognised. I tried all the usual tests and finally declared the router OK but the computer not. So having talked through the options she has decided to order a wireless USB dongle from Amazon, I'll help her set it up when it arrives.
Anyway all that prequel was to introduce today's photo which is St Andrews Church in the centre of the village, in fact right across the road from where we used to live. Our front bedroom looked out over the graveyard, very restful. St Andrews is also famous as being the possible place that William Shakespeare married Ann Hathaway; though there are a few places that make this claim, none of which are Holy Trinity Church in Stratford where he is buried.
The other story about the church is from a few years back when my mother came to stay with us there. One day I asked her if she'd like to have a look around the church and grounds at which she adamantly refused saying that from the window of our bedroom where she was sleeping she could see spirits walking (floating?) around amongst the stones. I used to see a ghost occasionally in the bedroom, I assumed that had come from across the road.
