It has been a cold but sunny day. The fatsia japonica (false castor oil plant) in our garden has been covered in bees.
An early morning hospital appointment where I had my cast removed. The wound was bleeding so I have to keep a dressing on until it settles although I can now shower and bathe properly as long as I put a new dressing on when I’m finished. I have seen the physio and have to go back next week and am now in a splint which I have to wear for the next two months until I see the surgeon again. He will then assess its progress before deciding on the next steps. It’s going to be a while yet before it’s fully recovered but I’m sure it will be worth it in the end. It was also X-rayed today and everything is looking as it should at this stage.
I sat on the patio door step when we got back while Mike cut the lawns and was soon joined by neighbour’s cat Oscar, he then made himself at home inside the housel
