A Golden Tree
I spent most of the morning at the Minor Injuries Unit or maybe it was the Urgent Treatment Centre at Newton Abbot Hospital. I had a skin injury above my ankle which was looking very red. I had misidentified the cause but I realised last night that I had clumsily removed a tick rather than treating a cut. Anyway, I decided that I needed someone to advise me on it so I took it off to the professionals. The only treatment needed was a hydrocolloid dressing which should draw out the poison over the next few days. I'll need to look out for the 'bullseye rash' which indicates Lymes Disease. In the UK it's not as prevalent as in the USA where antibiotics tend to be given immediately.
There are some lovely trees near the hospital and I thought this one my work with the Pep Ventosa treatment. I couldn't get all the way round (I'd have got mown down by the traffic if I'd tried) but the small set I took have worked quite well, I think.
My tree looks quite curvy and as that's the theme for today's Wide on Wednesday challenge, hosted this week by C1aire, I'll tag it for the challenge.
