Me and Rhona B ……..
Another dry day but chilly again early on.
Once I'd been round and fed all the cattle, left Kev with various jobs to do while I headed off to Agriscot at Ingliston. Maybe not quite as many folk there as some years but still a decent turn out.
It's basically a one day agricultural event based round dairy cattle and trade stands with a beef cattle demonstration in the main ring in the morning.
This year's theme was about calving heifers at 2 years old to help reduce your carbon footprint. However it's not as simple as it sounds and wouldn't suit our upland system. They also had audience participation to answer questions by pressing a clicker,a bit like on " who wants to be a millionaire".
I must have learned a few things over the years as I got them all right.
Did some business, drank too much coffee and caught up with a few folk .
This is my old next door neighbour,Rhona B, who I probably saw last year at the same event. Had a catch up and some tray bake as well.
Back home by 5 pm to start filling up feed for tomorrow and put a load of silage in to the bullocks who had scoffed what they had this morning. Now to tackle today's post and start doing paperwork.
Ho hum.....
