This is England

Apparently this church is over 1,000 years old. I'd commented to my friend that this church and the one in the centre of St. Albans have a very similiar clock face, and she said that they are both supposed to be the same age.
The sound of church bells ringing out is something I really miss in Germany. Yes, they are a very devout nation and yes, the bells ring but there is no music. German bells bong, repetitively and boringly, English church bells peal, on a summer's evening there's nothing better than to hear the campanologists honing their skill, sigh.
